While searching for The Great Pumpkin...

at J.C's Orchard & Nursery, yesterday...

we came across the perfect apples for homemade apple crisp...

Today the kiddies, K and I will bake that apple crisp, before we head out on another fall adventure.

Here's to yummy fall goodness!

This was us today, enjoying the beautiful fall day...

We grabbed one of the wagon's at J.C's Orchard & Nursery...

and found ourselves some pun'kins!

And then it was home again, home again, to decorate our front porch with our prize pumpkins!

"All Hallow's Eve" banner at the last scrapping session Kelly hosted. I've hung the banner in my scraproom until I find a better spot for it. Love the glittery letters!

Thursday night, Renee and I worked on our ATC's for a Silver Bella swap that we both signed up for. This is my first swap and my first attempt at ATC's {these are Artist Trading Cards, for my non-scrapping friends!}. I'll post what I came up with when they are all finished - it takes longer than I thought to make 22 of them.

And then tonight, I took a mini book class taught by the fabulous Miss Stephanie. I haven't taken any photos of my book yet, but you can check out the one made by Stephanie here. I had a great time {as usual} at the class with Renee, and had the pleasure of making a new scrapping friend, Mellisa {so happy you found your way over to my blog}!

the women, the grandma and the works

On Friday, Renee, Diane and I went out for coffee, and saw...

The Women. Loved it. Go see it with your girlfriends.

On Saturday, K and I, and the kiddies went new car shopping to replace our smashed-up soccer mom mini van. We are thinking of replacing it with something less soccer mom mini van-ish... but we are just waiting an eternity for the insurance company in the shopping stage.

Then, the kiddies and I were off to the airport to pick up The Grandma, who is here for a visit. I just had enough time to bring her to our home, give her my cell number and K's, and leave her with Miss S for the night, so I could take R to the Sens game! {Well, she says she misses the kids, and I miss having a baby-sitter, so...}

R and I had so much fun at the Senators game. This was our first time experiencing the Sens/Habs rivalry up close... love it! I have to admit, it is still hard to get used to a new team - I still have loyalty to my team back home, but I am converting to be a Sens fan too. Can't wait to see both my teams play here later in the season - what jersey will I wear...hmmm?!

And tonight, we introduced The Grandma to The Works...yummy! The kiddies wanted her to drink out of a measuring cup...good times!

today's naptime scrapping

I still had these fall photos {old photos from a fall, back home - I am so not a chronological scrapper!} on my desk and my 'fall' paper, so this is what I did...

{Sometime last week I passed the 100 post mark on this blog - yeah!!! - yet I am still unable to get a good photo of my layouts!}

Nap time scrapping continues to be tricky. Today R was tired, and he actually wanted a nap. He said "I am tired. I didn't get enough sleep last night"! Hmmm, that sounds familiar - sounds like...me! Oops, I am constantly reminded that the kiddies repeat everything I say.

But Miss S, she never wants a nap anymore {and I am so not ready to give up on a 2 year old napping yet}. Her new trick is to wait until I think she is sleeping, and then quietly sneak into her big brother's room...and play with his toys. This is what she did today, and R slept right through it! I always find Miss S {she is not as sneaky as she thinks she is} and then I have to put R's toys back just so - he does NOT like anyone touching his things. Oh, the drama...

with their matching 'do's! They have been having fun at floor hockey {R now goes onto the gym floor, if Daddy goes with him - so that is progress that we can live with}. I am betting that R will be out there on his own very soon, with Daddy cheering from the sidelines.

I'm just laughing as I'm typing - remembering a story R told us last night, about "how handy it would be to be a monkey. Because {Curious} George can hold a juice box in one hand, an apple in another and hold a book with his other two hands..."! That would be handy - I know I could use more hands with these monkeys some days!

eighty-two years young

but R thinks he just turned 15! It was so great that my Grandpa was here to celebrate his birthday with us...

We celebrated last night with a wonderful dinner at Baton Rouge, and then cake at home! To my {surprise, and} delight the kiddies behaved exceptionally well at dinner {'cause you know I was worried about that}! We had a great visit with my Grandpa this week and will be sad to see him go {he, however is probably looking forward to some peace and quiet - although I know he will miss the 'little rugrats'}.
